Besides being durable, this Dee Zee bracket allows the attachment of the license plate to a visible location in front of the vehicle using 6mm thread inserts. This bracket for the license plate comes with a protective gloss black powder coat finish, making it more resistant to UV rays, moisture, impacts, and other damaging chemicals. Then added a bit more silicon to seal em off. Can't stress enough Make sure the darn thing is straight before those rivets go in Just traded my 2010 for a 2013 and the dealer I got it from put the darn thing on a little off, I notice it salesman says once plate is on you will never know.įinished off with the lower 2 screws.
We will see, I was hoping someone else has installed this before, but looks like I gotta figure it out lol. I might just have to do it or use stainless steel self taping screws. So now it makes sense why GM dealerships rivet these on. Not sure if there is enough room to tighten up a bolt from behind. Hope I'm mistaken but the dipstick indicates an over-filled crankcase. Only 6 months since we bought it, now with about 7,500 miles or so. Also going to have them verify what I assume is a gasoline odor on the crankcase dipstick. With the indents on the bracket that line up perfectly with the bumper it's difficult to comprehend how they could have installed it crooked. If you are not comfortable or have the tools to do this then take it back to the dealer and tell them that you you like them to fix their mistake.Taking our '13 I4 Nox back in a week to have them reinstall the crooked front license plate bracket.
