Besides being durable, this Dee Zee bracket allows the attachment of the license plate to a visible location in front of the vehicle using 6mm thread inserts. This bracket for the license plate comes with a protective gloss black powder coat finish, making it more resistant to UV rays, moisture, impacts, and other damaging chemicals. This is made from 2.5mm hot rolled steel, so it can be mounted securely to the underside of the center tube. Hope this was helpful to people that have to do this. Came out pretty good, front is not as smooth looking, but I am happy with it Also opted for the MN Loon plates since I am not a fan of the plane jane white and blue ones. Since I had the silicon out I placed a little in the screw holes on the bracket to keep these screws secure as well. Then aligned my plate on straight and used #10 3/4inch sheet metal screws (stainless steel got them at Menard's for a $1.30.) These are very similar to what GM uses. Then added a bit more silicon to seal em off. Can't stress enough Make sure the darn thing is straight before those rivets go in Just traded my 2010 for a 2013 and the dealer I got it from put the darn thing on a little off, I notice it salesman says once plate is on you will never know.įinished off with the lower 2 screws.

Only 6 months since we bought it, now with about 7,500 miles or so. Also going to have them verify what I assume is a gasoline odor on the crankcase dipstick. With the indents on the bracket that line up perfectly with the bumper it's difficult to comprehend how they could have installed it crooked. If you are not comfortable or have the tools to do this then take it back to the dealer and tell them that you you like them to fix their mistake.Taking our '13 I4 Nox back in a week to have them reinstall the crooked front license plate bracket. Here's the bag that mine were in if you need help finding these things: Picture of the cap.ĭrill out the rivets which is easy to do and then adjust the holes and rivet back in place.

They appear to look a lot smaller than some of the others used based on posted pictures from other users.

And the dealer did perform the last oil change. Only 6 months since we bought it, now with about 7,500 miles or so.Īlso going to have them verify what I assume is a gasoline odor on the crankcase dipstick. Then clean and polish your surrounding paint if necessary. The rivets should push out easily, if not you may need to drill the remainder out. Using the lower 2 holes in bracket as a template drill two 6MM dia.
